Endeavour Holidays provide two choices for your short, or not so short break. .Just 90 minutes from the M25, there's the cottage on the banks of the River Stour, sleeping 4+2 with two double bedrooms and a sofa bed in the sitting room, with the RSPB reserve right in front of the conservatory windows. Parkeston quay and Harwich lie across the river, with the long views up the river to Mistley to the west.

Alternatively you can charter the Dutch Sailing Barge Onderneming (Endeavour) at the picturesque hamlet of Pinmill, outside the excellent Butt and Oyster pub. She has three double cabins, with a fourth traditional masters cabin in the stern. 3 bathrooms, two galleys and two large living areas. Wood burner, central heating, modern galleys...not what you would expect of a 120 year old sailing ship.

Long walks, good pubs and restaurants, evening comfort, and of course the bird watching, are at the heart of what we offer. The mudflats of the rivers Stour and Orwell team with migrating birds. If you're lucky you can see a seal basking on the shore. If its not the birds, then its the huge skies, the peace and thescenery of the Shotley peninsular that will make your holiday.
